This story gets what monastic life is about. It is fun to see how you and I both touched the theme that one's life cannot be sustained alone. Nice work!
This is quite the conundrum, as someone who appreciate solitude, I can understand the main character's preference for it but I also understand that there will always be that lingering need for company. Thank you for sharing a nice fantasy thriller with a highly relatable character.
WOW. OK I've just finished reading, had to write this before I take my first round of notes. I can tell you adjusted from the first round of comments, but more-so this feels like you're hitting your stride. You know how you can write! There's a lot to this piece, and I loved the intensity of the experience and the emotions! Well done!

Thanks, Hyun Woo. I thought a monastery would be a fitting setting for a man on stuck in one place but on a journey of the soul.
Great story! Cool imagery, poignant, empathetic language.👌🏻
Thanks, Andrei!
"All these years, and it didn’t fit." - What a classic ahaha
Hey, glad you liked it!
Enjoyed the time I got to spend with Ruathen!

You really packed *so much* into the wordcount. It's so beautifully done and I love the character arc. Very nice.
Try as I might, my stories do seem to have a certain density…😬
Thanks for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed it, EB
This was beautiful. I wanted to help Ruathen get out of there!
Thanks, Hanna.
