Holy …. Woah. This was such a good read! Ok, I’m in. Also, can I DM you about spears in battle? I wanna know if I faked it well enough for an upcoming story.

Incredible story, so well written. I love a world full of the mystical and spiritual and the devout. I am very excited to read more of these

This is it. The sort of think I was attempting with Immigrant, and with Squirrel, but you did it.

I read the Immigrant, and I really loved the stone-age setting. I'm glad I'm not the only one interested in the harshness of that sort of warrior-honor society as a subject for fiction.

I've slept on this too long. A genuinely excellent story; you've got your hooks in me deep with this one. I'll be reading the next entry today for certain, then chomp at the bit with anticipation for the third.

Enjoyed everything about this one, Eric. Truly. The steppe setting. The tragic fate for Segitars. The fight sequence and your lyrical handling of its implications. Really looking forward to more anecdotes of this ill-fated Samyuzot.

My favorite part of this story is the paradigm shift. He could have recognized she didn’t love him if he’d only been less proud and more observant, and haven’t we all been there? Such a bold and gripping beginning.

Very cool, phenomenal atmosphere, world building, and characterisation. I love the steppe nomad inspired setting. I’m looking forward to the next instalment.

To me Recha is always going to be Unagars’ dove though.

That’s why you’re an OG, Max 🤣 … they’re an item in my head too, but part of my trimming for this newer version of the story was paring down some extraneous details. That was one of them. Managing their back and forth in the midst of the trial took away from the main conflict (or so I feared).

Anyway, always appreciate your supoort! Thanks for reading and glad you liked it

I thought it was a nice detail in the last version, but you’re probably right that removing it tightens the piece up.

I might have to write some fanfiction about their romance though 😉
